Empowering Tribes, Preserving Heritage and Developing Tribal languages

The Tribal Language Development Centre (TLDC) is a non-profit socio-cultural organization established by tribal members of Odisha. The organization was formed with the aim of improving the quality of life and dignity of all tribal and Odia members, as well as their contributions to the development of Odisha and the nation. In 2023, TLDC was officially shaped and registered in Odisha.

TLDC strives to connect the Odia diaspora residing beyond Odisha's boundaries with their roots and encourage them to embrace their education, traditions, culture, heritage, literature, history, and present-day developments.

The primary objective of TLDC is to provide IT-based language solutions for all individuals who speak tribal and Odia languages. This includes offering fonts, tools, AI-based technologies, eBooks, educational resources, and training to empower all communities in Odisha to use their native language in the digital age for communication and learning. The organization welcomes government bodies, private funding agencies, institutions, companies, and international agencies to collaborate in fulfilling this crucial need for the people of Odisha.

By being part of TLDC, stakeholders can witness the progress made in every Tribal Language Meet, which will be celebrated annually to showcase the advancements and empowerment of the people of Odisha. TLDC's mission is centered around promoting Odisha's culture, heritage, language, and education worldwide, while also fostering development within the state and facilitating information exchange between Odisha and the global community.
